An innovative regulation now applies to new non-residential buildings: Parking spaces must be covered with photovoltaic systems if they exceed a specified number of parking spaces. This regulation also applies to projects by private individuals and municipalities planning large parking areas. In addition, the new law stipulates that the infrastructure for electromobility in parking lots must be strengthened nationwide by requiring every third parking space to be prepared for the retrofitting of charging stations for electric cars.
